Kesekian kalinya SMP-SMA KBS YOGYAKARTA membuktikan dan konsisten bahwa Online Learning tidak mempengaruhi siswa-siswi dalam mencetak prestasi di luar negeri. Kali ini dua siswi dari SMA Kesatuan Bangsa School Yogyakarta berhasil meraih Honourable Mention diajang Global Youth Science and Technology Bowl (GYSTB) 2020.

 

Mereka adalah Khalifathiya Fadhilah Denti dan Putri Ramadhani Novianti. Keduanya berhasil meraih Honourable Mention pada event yang diselenggarakan oleh Hong Kong Federation Youth Group. Dengan mempersembahkan inovasi dengan judul Auto Mini Robot for a Better Environment (ATM). Karena pandemi Covid-19, kompetisi ini diadakan secara online dengan menggunakan aplikasi Zoom pada 1 Agustus 2020.

 

GYSTB adalah ajang kompetisi sains dan inovasi karya ilmiah tingkat internasional. Event ini diikuti oleh ilmuan muda se-dunia. Setelah melalui seleksi yang panjang, terpilihlah 100 peserta dari berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia, Filipina, Hong Kong, Thailand, China, Singapura, Malaysia, Korea, Turki, Irian, Africa, Eropa dan Rusia.
